Wacom implemented the following additional changes and improvements:

For Bamboo 2nd Generation tablets with touch input:

  • The gesture engines were fine-tuned and improved, providing smoother scrolling and other touch functions.
  • Gesture recognition for rotation and zoom is indicated by an on-screen icon, providing feedback on when the driver recognized the gesture.
  • More applications are responding to touch gestures.
  • The 2nd ExpressKey now defaults to launching Bamboo Dock, a suite of mini-applets designed to enhance your tablet experience and use.

The driver resolves issues and problems around fast login and fast user switching on new computers (esp. with solid state memory).

The software name is updated to Bamboo for all supported tablets (incl. Graphire and DTx).

  • The pen tablet folder in the Start – Applications menu is named “Bamboo”
  • The preferences utility file is named “Bamboo Preference File Utility”
  • The control panel name is “Bamboo Preferences”

This driver does not support pen or touch input on any Tablet PCs.

This driver contains a number of general bug fixes and improvements for all supported tablets.
